NFL Picks Week 17

There are two games remaining in the 2022-2023 season. Check out picks for every contest in NFL week 17, this weekend and on Monday night.

Week 17 NFL Picks – Thursday, Dec. 29

Dallas Cowboys -12.5 at Tennessee Titans – 8:15 p.m. ET

Since beating the Green Bay Packers, the Tennessee Titans have fallen apart. On Thursday night, the Titans take on a Dallas squad that comes off a great victory against the Eagles.

The Titans are a bad team. But 12.5 are too many points to give up to a team with Derrick Henry and a decent offensive line.

NFL Week 17 Picks – Sunday, Jan. 1

Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons -3 – 1 p.m ET

The Atlanta Falcons take on the Arizona Cardinals offering points, in the first of our Sunday picks for NFL week 17. Arizona had the lead over the Bucs, but Tom Brady rallied his troops. 

Rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder played much better in his second game than in his first. If Ridder improves, the point differential will be much higher than 3.

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions -5.5 – 1 p.m ET

The Chicago Bears go against the Detroit Lions in a rivalry matchup. The Bears played okay versus Buffalo.

Detroit bounced against the Panthers. The Lions should return to their SU and ATS selves in this.

Jacksonville Jaguars -4 at Houston Texans – 1 p.m ET

The Houston Texans play hard. But the Jags are on a hot streak, winning 4 straight. 

A win hands the Jacksonville Jaguars the AFC South. Trevor Lawrence and his mates won’t fail.

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs -12.5 – 1 p.m ET

The Kansas City Chiefs added an against the spread victory to their terrible ATS record. Kansas City is now 4-10-3 ATS.

The Broncos fired coach Nathaniel Hackett. Still, 12.5 points is a ton. Also, how can getting rid of a bad head coach be a negative?

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots -3 – 1 p.m ET

For New England, last week’s loss had to have stung. The Pats blew it again. 

The New England Patriots may have lucked into a win and cover in this game. Tua is again in the concussion protocol. 

That’s good news for the Pats, who are fighting for a playoff spot. The Miami Dolphins are also fighting for a playoff spot, but the Fins have been a disaster in the past month. 

The team that loses is assured a losing record. The England Patriots get it done in one of our best NFL bets.

Indianapolis Colts at New York Giants -5.5 – 1 p.m ET

If you like the New York Giants, you must lay more than -5.5 unless you bet this one right now. The expected points are Giants -6 to -6.5.

The Indianapolis Colts are a bad team. NYG  is an excellent covering team. The Giants are the best bet. 

New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 – 1 p.m ET

The Philadelphia Eagles failed to lock down the NFC East title in a loss to the Cowboys. The Saints will be looking to play spoiler. N’Awlins can still win the NFC South. 

If the Eagles lose, things could get dicey for Philly. But the Eagles are the much better team. 

Even if Hurts doesn’t play, Gardner Minshew shouldn’t have trouble moving the ball against the New Orleans D. Bet early because expected points added could make Philly unplayable. 

Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers +3 – 1 p.m ET

Talk about getting lucky. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were down 16-6 against the Arizona Cardinals before the terrific one provided another rally win. 

Tampa must keep it going because the rival New Orleans Saints are on their heels. Tom Brady is going to have to provide more magic. 

We think he fails because Tampa hasn’t had enough explosive plays this season. 

A Panthers win puts them in line to become the NFC South champs. Carolina is one of this week’s better straight-up picks and a great ATS play.  

Cleveland Browns at Washington Commanders -1.5 – 4:05 p.m ET

This is a battle between two bad teams. 

The San Francisco 49ers beat the Commanders in DC’s last. The win forced Ron Rivera to switch quarterback this game to Carson Wentz.

Carson doesn’t want to play football anymore. He’s picking up paychecks, and that’s it. The Washington Commanders lose their third straight. 

San Francisco 49ers -10 at Las Vegas Raiders – 4:05 p.m ET

The biggest Las Vegas Raiders Sunday move was benching Derek Carr. Derek then left the team.

The San Francisco is rolling. But the points are too many, making the Las Vegas Raiders the pick. 

New York Jets -1.5 at Seattle Seahawks – 4:05 p.m ET

It sure is tough to go against the New York Jets in this NFL game. The other team in this matchup has gone 0-6 ATS in their last 6.

Sure, the Jets’ offense is a mess. But Mike White plays for NYJ, and the defense still rocks. The Jets beat the Seattle Seahawks by more than 2.   

Minnesota Vikings at Green Bay Packers -3 – 4:25 p.m ET

Green Bay has rocked it in the past two weeks, winning three straight. The Packers must win to keep the playoff hopes alive.

It’s doubtful the Minnesota Vikings can stop Aaron Rodgers. Also, the Vikings have already secured their playoff berth. 

Green Bay is much different now than they were in the first game. GB is one of the better picks against the spread. The Minnesota Vikings fall, and the Pack rise in this rivalry game.  

Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Chargers -6.5 – 4:25 p.m ET

In one corner, we’ve got the Los Angeles Chargers. On the other, we’ve got the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams are on a roll.

Baker Mayfield and the Rams scored 51 against the Broncos in their last. Also, the Bolts are due for a letdown. So the Rams get the nod to cover. 

Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens -2.5 – 8:20 p.m. ET

The Pittsburgh Steelers field a tough defense. That explains why although the Baltimore Ravens are the chalk, most money is going to the Steelers.

Playoff hopes hang in the balance in what should be a low scoring game. A win from either keeps hope for a wild card berth alive. But the Steelers get the nod. 

Week 17 NFL Picks – Monday, Jan. 2

Buffalo Bills -1.5 at Cincinnati Bengals – 8:15 p.m. ET

The Cincinnati Bengals hope to push their season record to 12-4. There’s a good chance Cincy does because Joe Cool and his mates have eight straight wins.

The Buffalo Bills looked great against a bad defense in their last. These two teams are angling for the AFC’s top seed. The Bengals have home field advantage, which makes them the play.
