NFL Picks Week 15: Buffalo Faces Another Must Win Game

Fresh off an unreal ending to the annual Buffalo versus Kansas City throw down, the Bills host the scorching Dallas Cowboys in another must win game. Buffalo has 6 losses, which means with 4 games left the Bills are 2 behind AFC East leading Miami and in a tough spot for a wild card. Does Josh Allen and his mates get it done? Check out NFL odds, analysis, and free picks for every game on the NFL Week 15 Schedule.

Week 15 NFL Picks

NFL Thursday –  December 14

L.A. Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders -3

Chargers versus Raiders is a classic throw down between rivals that, often, have no shot of making the playoffs. 2023 is no different.

We won’t see the Bolts or the Raiders in the NFL Playoffs. The game matters to LAC head coach Brandon Staley because he’s on the hottest seat in the league. Maxx Crosby and his buds, though, get to rush Easton Stick. Vegas covers.

NFL Week 15 Games

SATURDAY, December 16

Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals -2.5

The odds suggest a close game. But as well as Minnesota’s defense has played, and Brian Flores deserves another head coaching shot after how well his unit is performing, the Bengals have found a Joe Burrow clone in Josh Browning. Browning is completing an amazing percentage of passes. Bengals get the win and cover.

NFL Week 15 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts -1.5

The Colts are playing much better football than the Steelers. Pittsburgh, like always, has a good defense, but the offense remains mired in mediocrity. Indianapolis should bounce back from the 34-14 loss to the superhot Bengals in NFL Week 14.

The odds make the Colts more than playable. In fact, Indy is an overlay.

Denver Broncos at Detroit Lions -4

Detroit is a dirty play away from being 0-3 in their last 3. If Bruce Irvin hadn’t body slammed Saints quarterback Derek Carr into the turf in the Lions victory over New Orleans, the Saints likely would have scored on the drive.

Denver is on fire. Right now, the Broncos are one of the best teams in the NFL. So the -4 makes Denver an ATS overlay. Why settle, though? Go for the big score and back the Denver Broncos on the moneyline.

NFL Week 15 Pick: Denver Broncos +4

SUNDAY, December 17

Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans -2.5

The Houston Texans are in desperation mode, which tells us how close the playoff race, especially the AFC Wild Card race, is this season. After the inexplicable 30-6 loss to the Jets last Sunday, Houston has fallen to 7-6 along with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Denver, and Indianapolis.

Furthermore, the Chiefs and Jaguars are both at 8-5. So Houston’s march to the NFL postseason isn’t set in stone. That’s bad news for the Texans and their fans.

Will Levis and the Titans are fired up after a Monday night upset win over Tua and the Dolphins. Not only that, but C.J. Stroud, Laremy Tunsil, Nico Collins, and Noah Brown all list as questionable. Back the Titans to cash.

New York Jets at Miami Dolphins -8.5

The Dolphins are the better team, but this is a ridiculous spread. Miami’s defense did not look good versus the Titans this past Monday night. The problem the Fins will have in this game is that Zach Wilson has finally gotten it together and the Jets rush the ball well. So NYJ should keep this well within the number.

NFL Week 15 Pick: New York Jets +8.5

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns -3

The Bears are a decent football team; however, they face a tough road against one of the best, maybe the best, defense in the NFL.

The Browns are a legit AFC Championship contender with Joe Flacco at quarterback. Flacco is a former Super Bowl winner. So although he isn’t flashy, he won’t post incredible stats, he gets the job done because he doesn’t often make mistakes. Not only that, but because Cleveland runs a more conservative offense with Flacco under center, Justin Fields isn’t likely to see many possessions. Expect Fields to throw at least 1 pick in this.

Kansas City Chiefs -6.5 at New England Patriots

The Chiefs have lost 3-of-4. KC can make excuses, but the bottom line is that they aren’t as good this season as they were last season. The problem exists on the offense side where Patrick Mahomes has thrown more picks, 11, than he has at any other point in his career. Mahomes is forcing the ball and isn’t on the same page as his recievers.

Bill Belichick knows this. So expect the Patriots to keep this close. Patriots can even win SU.

NFL Week 15 Pick: New England Patriots +6.5

Atlanta Falcons -3 at Carolina Panthers

It’s difficult to back either one of these teams. Atlanta often scrambles to get things done while the Panthers are just a bad team. Carolina is at home. So there’s reason to believe they hang with the Falcons.

In addition, we must question the spread. If the ATL was such a lock, why only 3 points? Panthers score their second ML win of the season.

New York Giants at New Orleans Saints -6

The spread is laughable. New Orleans should be no more than a -3 favorite. Beating up the Panthers 24-9 means nothing in this game because Tommy DeVito is playing like a 5-year veteran.

DeVito doesn’t make mistakes. He also makes the right decision on when to run with the football and the Saints D has given up a lot of rushing yards in recent games. The NYG moneyline is a real possibility.

NFL Week 15 Pick: New York Giants +6

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Green Bay Packers -3.5

Why did the Packers lose to the Giants this past Monday night even though Green Bay was a -6.5 road favorite? Some blame Jordan Love. Others blame Matt LaFleur.

But the real reason the Pack lost is because of injuries on both sides of the ball. Those injuries remain, which means we must take the 3.5 on Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers.

Washington Commanders at L.A. Rams -6.5

Washington is working for the top pick in the NFL Draft. For some reason, D.C. decided to reboot the franchise in the middle of the season without letting go of head coach Ron Rivera.

So right now, the Commanders are doing nothing more than putting Sam Howell and Terry McLaurin in harms way. The Rams beat D.C. by at least 10 and could dominate by 18 or even 20.

NFL Week 15 Pick: L.A. Rams -6.5

San Francisco 49ers -12.5 at Arizona Cardinals

San Francisco shows injuries on the defensive side of the ball. However, so do the Cardinals. So although Kyler Murray and Zona offense will have some success moving the football, there’s no way the Cards keep Brock Purdy and his mates from scoring close to 30.

Another reason SF scores 30 or more. The Cards boast one of the leagues’ worst rush defenses and on Sunday they face the great Christian McCaffrey.

NFL Week 15 Pick: San Francisco 49ers -12.5

Dallas Cowboys at Buffalo Bills -2

Buffalo got lucky against the Chiefs last Sunday. This Sunday, Allen and the Bills face one of the best teams in the league. The Cowboys have moved to elite status and won’t lose another game this season. So if you’re looking for the most obvious underdog money line play, it’s the Cowboys over the Bills.

NFL Week 15 Pick: Dallas Cowboys +2

Baltimore Ravens -3.5 at Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jaguars aren’t on the same level as the Ravens. Still, the hook is worrisome. Baltimore doesn’t always step it up and this does happen at EverBank Stadium where Jacksonville often plays their best.

Lamar Jackson won’t let Baltimore lose this game. But the contest could end up like the Rams game where Lamar had to provide some magic for the Edgar Allan Poes to get the win.

Again, Jacksonville shouldn’t beat the Baltimore Ravens. But the hook, that half a point, makes the Jags the play.

NFL Week 15 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars +3.5

NFL Monday Night Football –  December 18

Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 at Seattle Seahawks

The Philadelphia Eagles have not played excellent football the past couple of weeks. It would be easy to write Philly’s blowout losses to the 49ers and Cowboys as the competition the Eagles’ faced, but the truth is that the offense has hit a rut, and the defense isn’t close to being as lockdown city as it was in 2022.

On Monday night, the Eagles travel to the Emerald City where the Seahawks are tough to beat. Geno Smith lists as questionable, but even if Geno doesn’t play, Drew Lock should be more comfortable throwing to fiercest wide receiver in the league, DK Metcalf. Here’s another where the underdog can win straight up

NFL Week 15 Pick: Seattle Seahawks +3.5
